Basically needing a full time Roughcaster. Immediate start and plenty of work. All site work though. Will be doing mainly remedial works but will also involve Roughcasting houses
Lots of young lads after a job. No point wasting your time on slackers when there's plenty grafters out there. I employ my girls little brother so when he's not doing as I tell him I tell his mum and he gets proper roasted haha
I've used them also for the past 5 year. Takes a while taping everything up and maybe a bit more expensive in the long run but as you say at the end of the day you just roll up into itself and in the bin! Also handy incase you get the odd spillage, stops the carpet getting stained!
Sorry I thought I made it clear but I can't even make sense out of this. (Been a long day off sick). Option 2 was the board finish but I never knew he used a bonding agent. Why's the need for this over new boards? I'm f**k**g puzzled here.. Back to my bed!
If it's been troweled up then this texture is coming through then it's got to be 1 of 2 options, and as its on top of fresh boards, you have to assume the board finish is at fault. I would contact BG and not use the board finish for a while. No issues with it when I last used it

Haha this looks like one of my very first homers I done whilst a 1st year apprentice. I thought I could get away with not using pva on an artex ceiling. I got a call back a few days later and the whole lot was hanging, just had to touch it and it fell down! Learnt an expensive lesson that day...
Not this post again!
You can't seriously expect us to tell you how to price a job. Every job is different. Some jobs might be small meterage so will be a greater m2 rate than say a large job.
As above post says, if you can't work out how much to charge per meterage then maybe pricing per day...
I got that text and just recieved this today from same number.

So I've just received an email from Refina and after explaining to them I wasn't bothered about getting it replaced as I didn't have the time to send it back and wait on the replacement but they are just going to send one out to me anyway. Said it should be with me Monday. All they asked was...
Yeah, they were actually pretty good but unfortunately I don't have time to go to a post office, plus it's my only rendering trowel so if I were to send it away I'd be without one till they sent it out. For the record I never use it to scoop render out the bucket/wheelbarrow as I hate having...
Here is the trowel after approx 100-150m2 worth of base coating.
Spoke to Refina and they said they would replace it for me. I've just not got the time to take it to the postal office and wait for them to send another one out, as I only have one rendering trowel. I'll just go back to my trusted MT
Hi, does Refina do warranty on their trowels? Bought a new one two weeks ago and the top rivets popped already. This is the first Refina ive used and actually like it. Don't want to buy another new one of the rivets are going to pop as quick as this one has, after very light use.
Used both mate. Powerwalls the best I've used. Would use that everyday if I could. Stonepacks not far behind though, quality stuff and cheap. U go thru keyline or deal direct with stonepack
I've got the dewalt set. Braw and light for ceilings. Good if you have problems with your shoulders like myself. Battery's last a shift and charge in about 15 minutes
Yeah a lot of generous lads on here and it is much appreciated.
It was a private site, 2 new houses but I was the only one on site while I was working. There was a massive generator there too and that never got touched. It's a lesson well learnt and I won't be doing that again
You lot do have a soft side after all! I wasn't looking for freebies, I was just more gutted about losing my trowels that I worked my balls off to get perfect.
Gibbo if your not wanting the trowel I would happily take it but couldn't take it for free
Sorry, havnt been on in a while. Basically all my hand tools and mixer got stolen. I'm just glad I didn't leave my screw guns or that there too. I had 4 trowels, 2 for rendering/plastering and two for skimming. I have bought one marshaltown and a hawk and using my older mixer to do me till i buy...
Haha some tightarse not paying up?! Tuttut. Some decent prizes in there though! Yeh, I'm sure you won't make any of us forget that for the next 12months!
Doing well mate cheers, did u get a prize for winning then? As long as I never finished bottom lol! I recon if I took it serious i woulda been in with a shout lol
Its been a while so ill say hi again lads.
Just had my 4 best trowels stolen from my last job( that'll teach me to leave my tools overnight)!!! Anyway, I've always gonna with marshaltown good handle trowels. Where's the cheapest place to get these as I'm going to need to get another 3 or 4.
