    Fire Pit / Fire Cement

    Hi, I've built a fire pit out of breeze blocks and want to protect the inside. Do I need a coat of fire cement over the whole inside or just the joints? Or could I put a full scratch coat of normal render and then a thin coat of fire cement? Thanks, Jamie
