Hi Trish
Microcement is an option but there is prep work involved prior to application.Depending on how unlevel the surface is will make a huge impact on the cost.
I'm a Microcement installer and approved by Forcrete.Pleaee feel free to call me on 07719330726 to discuss.
Kind Regards
Rich
Hi Dan
The application doesn't look great tbh.I don't know what brand they've used but even with a good sealer if its been applied rough iga very easy to have misses.I'm not going to mention any names but there are a lot of microcement kits sold to anyone without any experience needed and it...
Hi Chris
I would personally remove the boards and start again.Standard plasterboard and skim is absolutely fine as long as application is installed correctly.Cement based Microcements unfortunately rely on a pu sealer that's why I use epoxy based(Forcrete).
Should you need any further...
Try and get a recommendation.where on south coast are you as there maybe someone on here that could help.Good luck with everything and if your interested in any Microcement I would be happy to quote
Just work out how long it will take you with some extra days just in case and see how that sits against the meterage of the job.Rates aren't really discussed as it brings the millionaires out on here have a sword off lol where part of Cotswolds?
You won't learn anything in a day other than masking up and priming a board.Doing the 4 days will get you the basics to then give you an idea of products in which you can then put to practice. There are so many finishes that can be achieved but most people think venetian plaster is highly...
I see.Alot of people think it's like plastering and think they can do it but it's knowing the process and understanding the products. How bigs the area?
Hi James
Open the cracks up then stich every 100mm and then fill with epoxy mortar.I lay a coat of upol carbody filler over to finish smooth with screed.Make sure you grind floor first mate. What brand are you using?
Thanks mate.Yeah I do alot of bathrooms also.Quite a process for this effect as only one supplier sells and training is required.Standard Microcement looks good but most clients are now wanting a polished and this is the closest out there.
Thought I'd post a pic of a recent Microcement floor in a polished finish close to a natural polished concrete but only 4mm.Veru hard-wearing and completly seamless.Photos don't do it full justice.
Hi There,a neutral floor cleaner as this wont strip sealer. Some manufacturers have there own cleaning solutions you can purchase but I would recommend above as it's all the same stuff.
I use a 14" Marshalltown for laying on and trowelling and a co.me flex at the end.I was taught with a 13" Marshalltown when I started out but 14"all the way for me.
Give it ago mate it's worth it.Personally I would go for forcrete, however there waiting list is long.Microcement is very popular now and theres a big market for it especially if you market well but be prepared to invest I would say.
Hi Tom please feel free to call me on 07719330726 to discuss.I have a showroom your welcome to visit in which I offer microcement and venetian plaster.
Thanks Rich
Recent job completed in microcement. This was rectifying someone else's work so had to sand back and start from scratch.Client wanted some burnish marks for more rustic concrete effect, video not the best so apologies.
