Efflorescence advise please.

Hello All

Not had to deal with efflorescence before so your advise will be appreciated. I've got a newly built extension with cavity walls to board. Some of the internal block work is damp as the roof has only just gone on, but once dry I intend to dot & dab. However I also appear to have efflorescence appearing on some of the internal blocks, can I dot and dab on it or do I need to treat it any way? Or just wire brush it and crack on.

Don't wet it any more.
Let it dry as much as poss then just wire brush it off.

get a dehumidifier in there and get the place dry

Treat it with a salt neutralizer.... i get mine from a company called pam-ties..... it stinks but is good stuff. ...
