I think a better selling point would be doing good jobs and having references available.

Criminal record check to have someone plaster their extension? f**k off.
 
Crb check wud find owt..wat if u had a cheeky bag on a sat nite and got a caution from cops it wud go on ur records does that mean ur a loose cannon? Nope..i agree with the kids thing but its very rare a parent wud leave the kids in house with a stranger regardless of been crb checked or not..agree with marshy about trying to keep it clean etc and not give public grief wen there post a job..by the way this Job looks a fake anyway or and I've never been caught with a cheeky bag just a reference lol..
 
I think the job is real it could be a typo in the email, some people refer to a conservatory as an orangery coz they are posher and they do have plastering in them also.
 
Crb for the trades! How about checking the c**t you are gonna do a job for? Ia the same thing for me! You don't trust me I don't trust you! How do I know if I will leave the house in the same mental and physics condition when I enter it, or would be the same day? I might be prisoner for 20 f**k**g years in the basement! The only time I have been asked for crb was when I worked on military premises and I had no problem with it, even signing contract for confidentiality , but in private house?There must be something weird with that.

I wonder if it will matter if I am criminal or not for doing the job for 1/3 of the price for money penny? f**k no!
 
Being posh is absolutely fine I've worked for a lot of posh people and they're usually a good laugh. Funnily enough they've never asked for my criminal history or thought I was going to kidnap or assault their kids!
 
I bet shes been straight onto muns net and started a thread about how plasterers are a bunch of unwashed ill mannered oiks.:sisi:.
 
I have one as I use to take hen dos and stag dos and families on outdoor pursuits weekends, when I'm not holding a trowel.
 
Same worked in school nurseries ect so standard procedure there !
Never a request from members of public !
But most work comes on recommend
Most people are chucking you there keys to there property ,
So the trust relationship is why your there ..
 
It's not called a crb anymore. Plus you getting one doesn't cover you for everywhere either

No chance! Don't go putting ideas into politicians heads ffs, its bad enough as is. Just because one works in someone's house isn't legitimate reasons for it IMO! Were all traceable through our business anyway so why add on extra costs. Ffs it'll end up being g a case of if one has a criminal record then you won't be able to do your business. I'm All for kids ssftey but defo don't need this for tradesmen. Anyone in the right mind wouldn't have your kids in the house while work is getting dobe, they'd just get in the way IMO.
 
The time it takes for a CRB check to be completed, the work could have been done. I'm in wilmslow myself, all I'm thinking is avoid :D

Plastering in a prison is a pain in the arse anyway so you dodged a bullet. Every tool you take in is logged and counted and if you are short anything on the way out all hell breaks loose. Just ask the joiner who pissed my mate off at HMP Acklington and somehow ended up one stanley knife blade short on his count on the way out :LOL:
 
CRB check to work in someone's house good luck with that job who ever gets it penny sounds like a rite laugh NOT . She's basically saying anyone without a CRB is gonna molest her daughter cheeky cow lol
