I occasionally wake up with some early morning stiffness.

I know the feeling, the only bit of peace is at work. Then after a quiet drive home content with the days work and feeling a bit tired it's like walking into a film set of The Gremlins.

So it's not just me then, full time battle plastering, kids and the Mrs any lucky ones survived the onslaught long enough to retire?

I'm fine until I sit down in the evening, then when I go to get up, it's like I'm 100yrs old. Probably best not to sit down.

Im 43 and have some aches and pains from the toils of our trade since being in it for 27 years to date but i still love the job and find alcohol to be a fantastic help for any aches and pains??

I used to smoke 30+ a day.
I quit over 4 years ago anyone saying its a easy habit to stop is lying.
but that said im glad I did quit when I saw how much 20 b&h cost the other day ffs.

i used to smoke 20 a day, i did stop instantly, i had a heart attack and i was so ill and after 3 months of recovery i thought that i never want to feel like that again so i never smoked again. that was 26 years ago.

@malc heard alot of stories like your's, funny how people can just quit instantly when your health is on the line.
Must just be a determination thing.

smoking was my thing, i was never worried about beer but i did enjoy a smoke. the 3 months that i was ill i never even fancied a cig. you then seem to hit a crossroads, i did not want to be ill again so i thought it was best that i stopped smoking, if i had taken a cig at that time i would have soon been down to the shop to purchase another packet.

So it wasn't as easy as just stopping then, yeah I know what you mean about just one cigarette and you'd back on them I have tried a few times but always a excuse to have one

Monday morning in the local sorting out the pains in my head.
After running around with 3 kids all weekend opened a bottle of brandy sunday evening......wasnt the best of ideas !!
