Not if he sees this first,he might not turn up:ROFLMAO:

whens the ice cream turning up?

I think I'm going to have to get it delivered for this job. ;)

I will be labouring for him to help out. I'm also putting some of the boards on tomorrow to move things along a bit. My instructions were "Start the boarding, but make sure you only fit ones that are screwed on. Two reasons for that, firstly if they're not right I can take them off. Secondly, I know what builders are like and I don't want you sticking them on with skim."

Cheeky scrote! I've been on a two day intensive course in his garage and he said I was qualified. :aburrido:

well thats one way to upset the neighbours, plenty of noise on a bank holiday, have a good early start .

I've no idea how you go about plastering, but unless you're mixing up in a diesel mixer I don't see how it's possible to plaster in a way that's noisy enough to upset neighbours?

Or are you just looking for something to whinge about?

I get @imago my labourer to use the podger on bank holidays & hand screw the boards, takes a while but at least the detached neighbours can't hear us, even though they are about 120 years old like

what type of property have you moving on to john?
End of terrace 1930s with garage and garden
No TV or Internet cable yet ,! House is habitable but dated in some ways , there is scope for expansion for a loft , side and back , hard to do whilst occupied

it is hard when you live in the property and try to remodel it. the last time we did that we rented a flat and moved our possessions into 3 containers. once we got organized we could build a house in 10 weeks.

you can do some nice extensions to a property we have recently plastered out a double story conservatory to a house on parliament fields. all in glass ,black marble and stainless steel. the ground floor was part of the kitchen, with a swept staircase up to the first floor lounge with a bay landing to overlook the whole garden.
the garden , water feature and all the plants are rented, they are the property of the gardening co. who come and maintain, water and design the whole garden so all you have to do is enjoy it.
may be a few ideas there for you.
