hi I am rendering a fire place and 75% of render is good just got one bit that does not want to stick so I scraped it off left a couple days and then put pva on waited till it went tacky but after 30 mins render still fell off not pva has gone off the wall is sealed can anyone help cheers wayne

I'd have thoroughly scrubbed the substrate and defo not used pva at any stage !? Use rib lath etc 2 coat sand cement with sbr ? Altho the fire instalers at house said use K rend as it's "properties " make it more multi burner friendly ?

at first the render wasn't sticking to scratch coat which baffled me so I scraped of the scratch that's why I pva'ed it now Im thinking I will have chip away at it to start fresh again . I had sbr in scratch coat and in mix to begin with and sbr in top coat I don't know whats goin on
