Hi got a small steel to put in the wall that's coming out has floor joist crossing on the supporting wall was going to plank each side of the wall and acrow would this method hold the rest of the wall above the steel or will it need strongboys in want to do the first method if poss it a 3 metre wall an the wall above the steel ends in the loft with no weight on it thanks

The wall above the steel will be staying basically the steel will end up under the floor joists just wondering about propping up really wanted to know if when propping either side will the joists end up like putting needles in

You need a bit more info to get any useful answers tbh. Which floor is the wall coming out? What length of wall is being removed? What type of wall is it that you want to support (block, 9" brick, cavity etc.)? You say there's no weight on the wall in the loft, but do the roof trusses/braces go down onto it in an inverted 'V' with the ceiling joist sitting on it?

Sorry yeah it's a ground floor wall 4 inch klinker block no cavity there is another steel running from wall to wall on pads tones that's going to carry the one I'm on about like a t piece when done the question is like I said would the joist act like needles to carry the wall cheers

That makes it much clearer. :)

Yes they will take the weight, but if you can screw the cross timbers to the joists as temporary racking just in case they twist when the weight's on them. Also worth checking that they all run through as sometimes a few or all of them will end above the wall and start again. Unlikely, but best to check.

Cheers imago not really my forte but it's for a good mate of mine so want to do it we will put the big steel in first that will b a piece of piss then like I said we will prop either side of the wall to come out an I will screw through to the floor joists like you say thanks for advice (y)

Take it steady and you'll be fine. The only other tip I can offer is make sure you put the acro props in a good distance (I try for a metre) out from each side of the wall coming out. It's a real pisser when you get everything set up, wall out and then find you can't get the RSJ in as the acros are too close to feed the beam through.
