Timing was right for it also as in we had a recession...
Overnight geeky nobed computer type tosser customers with no friends to ask or life skills started playing God on these my builders blabla etc websites...

Got to agree with you there - admittedly I won a job through the guarantee and brochures etc

I just don't think it's taken off like BG thought it would. It's taking a long time to get their name and approved applicator scheme out to the general public. Could take years. Even then most go for someone local based on reputation or recommendation.
I was supposed to be on a performance plaster course tomorrow and I got a call this afternoon to say it's been cancelled due to low numbers attending. BG didn't think it was worth running it. The one and only thing I've been offered, that I was actually looking forward to, cancelled

Trouble is people are busy working as the last recession is still fresh in the minds so are working to get as much as they can as there are fears of a new recession....
In the recession getting people to attend days out was easy as they literally had nothing better to do
