Hi Garrydowns, has the film work dried up?
Last film guys I worked with in Scotland were up to their necks in it at Pinewood. Film star wages too :-(

i would like to see how this fella got on. few years ago, now, but he has one arm and was retraining as a spread. devised some kind of device that strapped his board to his leg:

A MAN who lost the use of an arm in a car crash over 20 years ago is training to become a plasterer.

Daniel Miller's left arm was paralysed in the accident in 1980. It has been in a sling ever since.

The 45-year-old from Askham in Furness, Cumbria, began a seven-week course at specialist construction trainer Barrow Training Partnership this week.

Mr Miller, who spent 18 years repairing and repainting cars until he was made edundant three years ago, said the biggest hurdle he has had to overcome was how to hold the handboard.

He has devised a board which he straps to his right leg and has barriers to prevent the plaster from falling off.

He said: 'There is curve at the front which helps me work the plaster away from me.'

BTP managing director Keith Dymond said: 'When he first approached us we just couldn't see how he could make a career out of it.

'The first task we gave him was to show us how to get the plaster off the handboard.

'He developed his own handboard and he's got a very good sense of making things work.'

yh it has abit and yh moneys very good but not a perm job...just looking to join a plastering company so I can learn more and do own bits in between films :)
