just skimmed my mates ceiling all went well.............. left it for 6 days and painted it with crowne mat emulsion again all went well.............. 2nd coated it today and when a rolled over a patch with the roller the plaster came off on the roller??? only a patch the size of a cig packet...

when you've built a stud wall and skimmed it do you just put a line of decorators caulk at the top after skimming where the plasterboard buds upto the ceiling??? is there any need at all .... will it crack? or with the plaster act as a filler any way???? thanks for your help and advise.... cheers

i can't beleive you guys are like this about what you do???? i'd give my right arm to be able to do what you lot can do.... i.e coverage and finish etc..... its such a highly skilled and rewarding job... you don't know how lucky you are....... i only do this messing about because i enjoy D.I.Y...

yes caulk after skim thats what i meant to put ;).... so always use 12.5 board no insulation going in it as such small wall ...... don't want to skim the other wall unless i must therefore there will be no scrim used on the angle where the new stud wall meets the origional wall ..... don't...
