    got a few steel post to stick thermal board to is gripfil the best way or does the gripfill burn through the polystyrene but if i use phenolic insulated thermal board does this react aswell ?

    s.b.r or styrene butatane rubber would have some bonding properties if diluted 4.1 and just painted on but as we all know the correct way is with a cement slurry and lay render into it for the best adhesion few years back rendererd over glazed tiles

    with all this uncertanty screed can be very costly when it goes wrong ,sounds like fair size load .wouldnt you be better hiring a pump ,you might get good deal if they fixing yours

    would recomend an s.b.r modified screed and also slurry floor with s.b.r and cement can go down as low as 15to 20mm then the real thin areas you could laytex use isocrete 1500 or a very costly way would be use isocrete m bond which is a 2 part epoxy

    just to let you know if it is dreged from the bristol channel yes it is washed sand also called holm sand can be slightly courser sometimes but is fine for rendering

    25mm screed should not be a problem as long as the floor has an s.b.r slurry and the new screed is laid into it alternatley go for mapei topcem which is basically cement product which has been designed for thin section screeds

    no one will guarantee some one elses work so obviously he is only guaranteeing the injection but if he gets a spec and sticks to it whot should go wrong

    i would agree with spunky try a 4/1 mix damp proofer should be supplying waterproofer becuse he is guaranteing it.but ask for spec from damp proofer to make sure
