Have to say, the aftersales service from John @PFTscotland is amazing! I phoned him on a Sunday from an unknown number as I had no signal and he answered and fixed me straightaway.
Man's deadly as is Elaine .
Maybe a wee while in this cooler damp weather, it's pretty forgiving stuff, I try and get an elevation on and then jump back and hit, stupid statement but watch your eyes, it's nasty and very abrasive on skin and seems to travel much further than s&c wet dash.
It's lovely stuff, far better than s&c, a lot messier though. Once dash receiver is on I just mix two bags at a time with a whisk in a large tub then split into 2 gorillas and fire it on and repeat till elevation is done.
Cheers, I love sand and cement but unfortunately the stuff up here at builders merchants is wank and the local quarry sand is to inconsistent, ok for building though.
Sorry for bringing this back @essexandy I probably missed it but why did u not use the machine ?

Mostly timber frame up here though and windows etc sit flush with outside of cavity surrounded by a fire stop. Usually a 150mm minimum...
