    theres four years of that decent homes stuff going on in herts at moment. £80 a day before tax for plastering a kitchen. so anything has got to be better than being a plasterer at moment

    insurance work

    I was once sub contracting from homeserve who use to provide property repairs to homeowners who had an insurance claim. The work was ok as it was mainly ceilings but homeserve died in the recession. Does anyone have a clue how i can get back into this work and with whom :)

    just get your builder to bring mats to site and get astra van, they are quick and reliable ;D

    depends on ceiling size cos you could do a small ceiling in a couple of hours and spend most time sitting in van drinking tea. so £70 is ok :o

    Plastering is one of the most physical jobs in the trade yet we are now earning less. plumbers and electritions are getting more dosh because of the training and certificates they have or have to have. This seems to stop the eastern europeons from nicking there work and instead taking the work...
