You have the right attitude pal.I think this is the best way to go about things, labour as you learn. Courses are ok to get the very basics, but its one thing learning on 2mx3m room then skiiming a 30m2 ceiling on ur own is a differnt world. Im sure there is someone one here that wil help you out.
hi there is there anbody in the winsford ( cheshire) area who wouldnt mind me tagging along if they have some weekend work on . i have been on a plastering course in the past but i found it doesnt matter what anybody shows or tells you,if you aint out actually plastering/skimming then you aint ever gonna get better at it. i have done the odd tiny bit of skimming for friends and family, but stuff like that only ever comes round now and then. i will labour for free or do whatever u want all i ask in return is a little of your time to teach me how to plaster ( properly) in real conditions not 1 guy trying to teach 10-15 guys at the same time , and charging 400 quid for it. this way everyones a winner you get free labour i get to learn.thanks chris.
