Dab fireboard so its flush to the opening. Then stick a stop bead flush to the fireboard.

I was asked to do so on a job i was on but you still get the odd one or two.

SBR slurry coat of 1 sbr 1 water and add cement until a youghurt consistency. Damp the wall down before so it doesnt pull in too quickly. You want it to be tacky when banging on the s+c

Getting there. Its not troweling up as nice as when i use my MT but im putting it down to the fact the edges havent yet worn in yet. my work doesnt look the same either when drying out compared to when i use my MT. Is this normal??
