Iam currently looking to start a new career in plastering. People that i have spoken to have said that i need to gain a City and Guilds 6217 Certificate that will then lead to an NVQ level 2 after being asessed by a qualified plasterer. Also from the courses on offer, I believe they have to be matrix accredited. From the courses i have seen, "Goldtrowel" and "Ableskills" seem to offer the best courses over a six week period that cover the main focus of plastering. Does anyone know if this is the best route as a lot of plasterers i have spoken to do not want to take anyone on as a labourer.
