Why not spray domestic

Members online

domestic to me means a house, not a site as in schools ect.

In someone's house they live in then no
I did mean a house that possibly live but also get and got a few empty full house's that having total reskims coming up where ceilings and some walls would be boarded and the rest overskim.
4 bedroom detached 1930s and a bungalow built in 1950s that has had complete refurb with new build extension and loft conversation to it..these two especially are when I thought it would be good to have machine.

Hi I've been reading through the posts in this discussion and had to try it out for myself to see if it is worth spraying skim through a pump.I have a Ritmo L with a swing gun and V-MEKO compressor but no A Pump for mixing skim so I had to mix the gear in buckets and tip it in the hopper.I also made a 1m darby using an off cut of perspex screwed to a timber baton to make flattening out quicker and easier.
I pumped on 37m2,2 coats sponged it and troweled it 3 times and also had time before the final trowel to clean the hose and hopper, all in 2 1/2 hrs. This was done over block work which I rendered a few days ago so I already had the windows taped and floors covered with plastic.I'll spray more tomorrow to see if I'm completely convinced but reckon ill be spraying the rest of the job on my own all 200m2 of it!

On less the house is fully boarded it's a no go. Spraying gypsum multi is s**t it doesn't spry good and will set in the hose. Kanuf mp finish will spray no problem. But is s**t on a reskrim.

He is not taking the piss. He is in Oz. The skim he is spraying is from the USA. Vince get the idea out of your head lol. It's not worth spraying on domestic. I've been there.

Get mp finish for the plasterboard. What ever you do do not spray multi it is a nightmare. And if the machine company tell u there is no problem spraying multi they are talking s**t. If u hire out a machine to spray mp finish let me know. And I'll phone you and I'll talk you through it.

f**k me what's the point of asking for advise if your not going to take it? I give up some people only want to hear what's in their head and the minute they get one person out of a thousand say what they want they go with it. Make sure you wear your shades and film it aswell :)

I went on a demo end of last year, they sprayed multi, guys said straight away that is not the right material for spraying. Spraying domestic would work if you do a whole house, wouldn't worth it getting the machine dirty for a ceiling or a full room, seen it as a hassle to clean everything. If you use the right material I'm sure you can make it work in a domestic environment. Best you can do is hire a machine when you got plenty on and just try it, worst case is you wasted a day or two.

Based in Rotherham could anybody tell me where I can hire an eze24 set up for skimming

What would be the benefit of spraying finish? I can not see one benefit at all but can see a few reasons why it's a complete waste of time.

PFT Central or plasters 1st stop in Cheltenham. Try before you buy.

Maybe be worth a day off to see Ryan. I might be going to see him soon if you want to share a ride.

What's there to loose! It will be adventure you will never forget, but if you are keen , mastering will take you few attempts and then you can decide on which jobs to spray. How do you think we know all this s**t:frenetico: and we all have been told not to do it:lol:
