This is to introduce our highly breathable lime based renovation render Rasolite.

Rasolite is a high performance breathable one skim coat for buildings with sound, but ageing existing painted or plain facades, including painted renders in need of restoration. It has exceptionally good bonding characteristics and will adhere to most sound substrates, removing the need for time-consuming preparation work. Suitable for manual or sprayed application directly on to existing sound substrates, including those coated in paint.

We market Rasolite at a very competitive next day timed delivered £10 per 25kg bag, as a material of choice for traditionally built properties, where insulation requirements are not specified by a customer. Rasolite is produced in northern Italy and it is one of the most popular lime based materials both in France and Italy.

Its application allows both protecting, level and finishing of surfaces treated with a white sponged affect, so no need to paint after. The product is designed for manual or mechanical application of both external and internal surfaces.

With one word , this is a product you can apply over any painted surface without any prep? If so, you nailed it Alex(y)

That's correct, Rasolite could be applied over painted surfaces of tired but still solid render thanks to its high adhesion properties and flexibility. The substrate need to be clean, solid, free of dust, as well as not being subject to movement or shrinkage.

Application process is simple, machine friendly and described well in the method statement:

Now that looks interesting. What's the maximum thickness you can apply in one go?
Does it have fibres/hair in it? If not, can they be added on site?
Cost per bag?
Average coverage per bag?

so this isnt a bauwer product?

What's the maximum thickness you can apply in one go?
-> Up to 30mm in one layer

Does it have fibres/hair in it? If not, can they be added on site?
-> That's correct, Rasolite is a lime based fibre-reinforced coating, so no need to add anything except water

Cost per bag?
-> We deliver directly to your construction site, with the next day timed delivery eg. am, pm or before 10am, at £10 per 25 kg bag

Average coverage per bag?
-> 5.5m2@3mm or 1.7m2@10mm thickness

@Danny this might become your major sponsor in the near future . The way he is selling ......I only hope he is not after your place:D

So this is a competitor for parinter then?

Seems a decent price.

Does Jenny Borell sell your razorlight?

Hi Mate,
Rasolite is one layer renovation render which does not need a separate finish like parinter.

Also Rasolite could be applied from 3mm to 30mm in one layer vs parinter's 5mm and sponge finished in off white natural colour.

Rasolite is extremely popular in Italy for older, traditionally built properties maintenance and repairs.

Rasolite is available with the next day, timed delivery from us directly and should be shortly available from our partners @Plasterers1StopShop as well.

Hi Mate, as you could see from the first post in the thread, Rasolite is suitable for manual or sprayed application directly on to existing sound substrates, including those coated in paint. So yes, it would bond nicely to a painted solid substrate, same way as parinter, thanks to the high adhesion quality of fibre-reinforced Rasolite render.

Rasolite contains lime and special hydraulic binders, calcareous aggregates as well as reinforcing fibres and special additives that improve quality in terms of workability and adhesion to a substrate, including painted solid substrates.

Rasolite method statement:
http://www.vimark.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/RASOLITE_0116_ENG.pdf

Parinter can also be used as a sponge finish as it's very limey Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rasolite application protect, level and finish the surface with a nice sponged finish, natural white colour. No extra decorative finish required.

Based on parinters method statement, it requires a separate finish: "Parinter designed to create a new base coat render suitable for taking a range of decorative finishes including decorative coatings, top coat renders and finishes: calcilane dadigeon, antico, enduit, and other"
http://www.parex.co.uk/GetFile.ashx?file_id=633

Could you use it like parinter as a Base coat and top it with a different render?

Sure, it is possible, especially if you require a different type of finish.

Rasolite is available in off white colour only.

Hi I have currently been using a very similar product to this http://www.stastier.co.uk/nhl/data/ecomortar-repair.htm
I started to use this around 2 years ago as heritage asked us to use it as a re-skim in a old house over lime mortar walls.
Can you apply over gypsum based products or plasterboard as st as tier have 2 different types. We would be very interested in trying your product do you do any type of trial bags? And also what type of lime paint would you use to top it off ?

Rasolite base over painted dash, ready for thincoat. Rasolite with fibers in it sticks to a tired solid painted render really well [emoji106]

I'm considering using this rasolite on a victorian 9" internal solid wall (bare brick) which will need varying thicknesses upto 30mm but will need a smooth finish like multi. What's the best practice please @Bauwer

Rasolite is the best over tired painted render or plaster. If you apply over bare brick, you could use fibre reinforced base coat Monochrome grey, which is also considerably cheaper vs Rasolite. You could achieve nice and smooth finish with 2mm of Paltex GB1 applied over the base coat.

Hi Dan,
Fiber reinforced breathable Rasolite could be applied as renovation coating over old solid plaster up to 30mm to 40mm in thickness but typically not over the plasterboard. You could try GB1 or airless with smooth finish instead?
