Hiya

Have any of you chaps had glass splashbacks fitted in your kitchen?

I dont fancy tiles and wondered what to expect on cost.....

I've had it done before ,quite expensive,u can do it yourself tho buy the glass and paint whatever colour u want on the back,2or3 coats

I was carrying on with my mate couple of weeks ago after we had spent all day watching football and drinking whiskey. My mates head hit the wall when I tripped him and on the opposite side of the wall the glass splash back shattered. Wife was not amused, it's still out the back I'll post a pic.

Stax do them about £80 I think 5 colours to choose from

The recycled glass panels look amazing. Not sure on cost though. They are held together in some kind of resin and are very strong. Seen them as table tops before and high end work surfaces

I have a company coming out tomorrow to have a look... Expecting it to be about £750 for the kitchen which is not too bad to be honest...

Its the cutouts for the sockets and what not thats is what costs the money I have been told....

Don't get them wrong!
Got my spotlights yesterday. Drilled all 18 holes...hit the joists on 6 of them.

Need to move them but keep them all exact distance apart. I went home steaming. I had them all marked out perfectly. Not happy.

A decent sparky would make a plan regardless. What if you're skimming the walls too. Or if they've been painted before the sparky comes back
