is there any way I can have a240 point put on my genny so I can plug a transformer in. 2 reasons my genny for 110 has gone tits up today and secondly saves my dragging 2 gennys around all the time cheers

Think it is a Genset, one of the Orange ones made for PFT Northern. Think it is a 20 or 22 hp Briggs & Stratton with a 12.5 kva alternator

Buy a 32 amp 3 phase plug. a length of 4mm 3 core flex cable, a 16 amp female socket blue. Connect the brown to a live on the red plug(there are 3 available you only want 1),the blue to the neutral and the earth to the earth. On the other end connect to the blue plug brown to live blue to neutral you get the drift. A 240 v supply

cheers ian. I'll go buy these Tomoz and get a spark to sort that out. Any where in particular I can buy these. I cheers

As Ian said, you can do that. But it will not be equalised as it will only be running on one phase. This could damage your Alternator (over £600.00 new)

I would recommend doing this if it's really desperate .... Otherwise would try and avoid

You could consider a new one that is dual voltage. PFT Northern will do you a good deal. Did me a great deal on a genny for the Ritmo.

You will get a good price for that genny of yours. Low hours and genuine service parts used.
