I have been watching the vid of PFT Wales spraying mineral finish. This seems to be getting more popular by the manufacturers for the colder months. Any one got a Ritmo spraying job coming up in either Acrylic or Mineral. I would like to come and have a look at it being done.

More intersted in it being sprayed then rubbed up in the usual manner.

I did a mineral job by hand in a passage but the slightest bit of suction and you have problems. Anyone know on how such as a ocr render can be sealed against suction prior to a mineral render going on? Envirowall suggest a skim over in a thin coat but this seems to labour intensive to me.

I use an acrylic based bond the same stuff you mix into bag renders its called render bond here just mix it 50/50 with water and roll it on seals it up nice with no suction.

I was thinking today about W's Alpine render. This is similar to the mineral renders on the market. On their ocr they spec a primer which is sbr 1:1 with water. Paint a priming coat then the second coat needs to be left tacky.

I did this on the passage as mentioned but on an hour apart and had a bit of suction so defo prime the day before. Think that is what the manufacturers need to make, a primer for porous backgrounds.
