I had my Genny back from service yesterday.
Today we run a spray but the Genny kept on cutting/stalling only for a split second but without losing ignition. Ie- it kept on going just about so we didn't need to start it every time.

The only thing I can think of and see is that the fuel seems a little restricted. The filter glass is almost empty a d is was always half full before.
When the Genny is running you can see the flow through the filter glass but its just a trickle.

The Genny would stall now and then on its own steam. But it stalled every time we turned the pump on what it needs an extra kick.

My thinking is that there is not enough fuel delivery especially when the machine demands and extra slice on start up of the pump.

I will take it back to the shop on Monday but just in case is there an obvious solution ?

Im guessing you checked that the fuel filter was the right way round, it has an arrow on it to show the direction of the flow, also check the coupling on the fuel tank itself, maybe disconnect it and remove the coupling in the fuel line the put that direct into the tank and see if it syphons itself

Mine was the coupling on the fuel tank ,had to get a new one ,but as said ,put it straight in the tank and it worked

Is the coupling not a valve tho. As n it won't draw fuel unless it is clipped on to the nipple ?

I have a video. Will try and upload here

As you look at the filter the tapered end (top) is from the tank. The wide end bottom is going to the carbs

Right so following up

I took the coupling off and put the fuel hose into the tank and it drew the fuel like no business. the fuel filter cone was full brim.

new coupling ordered of uncle Les and fitted......so the genny is ticking over with no stall but the filter glass shows only a steady trickle again ?
now its running ok but when we plug the machine in (next week now) i fear it will stall again when the extra kick is needed on start and stop of the pump.

we will see i guess but..... is it possible the draw is weak? perhps the fuel pump can handle the open tube but struggles when it has to pull it through the cuopling valve ?

here before new coupling on the tank

just tell me is that fuel flow normal when it is running ? or should we be seeing half full filter chamber
