Hi guys can someone with a ritmo m or l give me a idea how big the inlet hole is on the top inlet?

At the moment we are running without the plastic insert as we only had a blanking cap in the top inlet when we purchased the power coat.

I'm having issues with wet mixes when we stop and then start the machine.

I'm thinking it may be because we don't have the white insert which will reduce the size of the hole the water comes out and thus stopping the excess water in the pipe flowing down.

So I'm gonna drill the blanking white that we have to try.

But I don't know how big the hole is.

Any help appreciated as I've got loads of hard wall to spray this week.

I thought that was my problem originally but it wasn't in the end. What have you get your rotor stator clamped upto pressure wise?

That wont solve the issue steve, im guessing the issue may be with the rubber diaphragm inside the solenoid, there is a small hole in this did you check that that wasn't blocked, it may have got damaged when you had the initial problem, il send you that part out.

hardwall will not spray unless you got at least 12 bar. myself i set it to 15 to be safe. The mix will come out fine at start up but once its through the pipe it starts going wet n stiff. if you had a dribble of water run into the mixing zone that would make very little difference by the time it reaches 15 mts away.
Best to keep a maintenance free stator handy for hardwall jobs

Same, clamp mine between 12-15 bar before every hardwall spray. Not had any issues since I've started to do this, only when stator is completely shot it comes out wet

Just to update

I drilled the hole and it fixed the wet start problem. The way I see it is that without the reduced inlet size, gravity allows the left over water in the inlet pipe down in to the mixing zone.

Now that there is a smaller hole the weight of the water is not enough to force its way down.

Yer it was blocked. I think I had a combination of problems

All sorted now

Sprays hardwall like a dream

Still hate the shite though
