Anyone got any idea exactly how long rotor and stators will last using pft d6-3 through monojet?
been using k1 for about six months now and not sure when to change ? some say 5 pallets at 40 bags per pallet and others 8 or 9 pallets. Dont wanna be wasting them but dont want the hassle of changing half way through spray either. been spraying at just under 300 with just under 20 bar back pressure, any help would be appreciated.
cheers

Cheers Stu, how do i do that? I`ve done 290 bags with this r&s do you think i should get much more out of it? using terracotta at the mo so cant afford to take any chances.

Best to always have one ready.well that's my opinion anyway.for the cost of it which is not a lot, have it ready then it can go on when is shagged.

As bobby said its always best to have a spare in the van, you need to buy a pump tester,

After 290 bags it should still have a fair bit left in it, but it would probably pay you to order another 1 to keep in van

if you do a pump test regularly and keep the data you can work out when the pump is coming to the end of its life.

when its new do a pump test and record what bar it was running and what bar it was holding. record these details. inc material used

After you put a couple of ton through do another pump test and record the same data.

keep doing this until you have minimum pressure holding to still be able to spray. 12 bar on a d pump 6 bar on a b pump

look back at your data and you will see by running and holding pressure an average of how far the material goes.

Use one rotor.stator for render and record details from that, same use one for plasters and same if using it for both.

The infomation you collect will also prove whether you are getting good results from a brand like pft and help you decide if its worth buying a cheaper one.

Use Google keep or similar which you can voice record these notes and automatically transfer to your desktop so you can put the results together in your own time.

Good advice from Ian. Also if you are caught half way through a spray and you can get away with less length hose, this would reduce your back pressure under the value that your r&s can hold as a max. This could get you out of a pickle in the short term !

@claremont what do you make of the k1 as its gotten as bad reviews on here as the ft which is bad for krend. How are you getting on with it and what system you using as in one pass or 2 etc

Plasterjfe, We use k1 all the time and seems fine to work with,we always spray two passses as first kills suction on blockwork . We did try spraying one coat the other week but found we were getting shrinkage cracks because it was drying too quick in the sun. spraying afternoon and scrapng comfortably next morning at the moment. looks a great finish if you leave the scrape a bit longer.

Got something in the pipe. Been in the pipe ages but not got round to it.

Promised Steve I would do a full honest review of the whole process. Its not far off now.

Lads I know using it can't get it in one pass or same day so far due to issues mentioned by Claremont there

It would have to be a premixed product ie OCR, CPI etc to be machinable. The R&S should last for 400 bags or so depending how you look after them. I dont use clampable R&S so cant comment on the longevity of them.

Clamp r.and s will easily do 10 pallets after 12 pallets its a case of keeping your eye on it

All depends how you spray tho and what you spray

Hello. How many tonns would be 10 pallets? we dont use bags here so dont know how much weight those bags.
