The Lake Governor
Well as some of you may know our young Ritmo was taken away from us due to being neglected and has been with a foster parent called Stu for some time. On Friday I was allowed a short supervised meeting with our little baby and we have agreed to attend a refresher parenting course on Wednesday that, if we're good will allow us to take her home.
Please don't tell Stu but once we get the little bitch home we're going to work her like a slave.

She's gonna need a bit of rehabilitation first .... We'll need to put a dust sheet over her before she goes out of the workshop as she's not used to daylight anymore ..... I feel a bit like that weird german fella who had his secret underground family that he used to **** everynight ... Apart from ive never ****** your machine .... Well thats what im telling the police anyway

@bobby hopefully, all going well over the next few months we'll be spraying Hardwall, Monorex GF, EHI Monorex GF, Blanc du littoral and Maite Monocomposant.

@Curry thanks Steve much appreciated. I've got my own extension to have a play around on which is good.

Well we went for our meeting with Stu of @UKPlasteringmachines and all went well. Stu had given our little Ritmo some flow bottle therapy and the larger bottle definitely made it easier for us to bond.
We put both Blanc du litterall and Hardwall through her without issue. We'll be using her over the next couple of weeks for sure.
So a big thanks to Stu it's much appreciated.

The powercoat bottle is thinner and only goes up to 315 which is fine for skimming but it makes it a bit harder to gauge water for hardwall which sprays at around 400

Can we say this is off thread ,don,t know to much about the Ritmo , but is the butt plug a must with the machine :RpS_confused::RpS_crying:

Got me thinking this and something PFT Wales said in a recent thread I cannot find.It was to do with roughcasting and red/green side on the bottle and a green float?

I am going to be doing a sample wall of 8m2 in rough cast with the Ritmo. It will be done with Granicem L. Granicem sprays at 175 water setting, it uses less water than most. For rough cast it is about half the normal settings so can my Ritmo go down to 87.5? the lowest setting it has is 75. The float I think is a green one.

Rigsby tighten the clamp up on that ritmo. The more worn it is the slower it is pumpin and therefore the water is set very low. Try tighten it to bout 10-12bar and see the difference.
For roughcast the mix needs be a bit stiffer than hand on speed 6

Righto,

it was 10 bar will take it up to 12.

Well today we sprayed the Maite basecoat onto the EPS on one elevation of my extension.
Everything went well from start to finish. Each lift was sprayed on in a matter of minutes.
Next week we'll be spraying both Hardwall and Monorex GF EHI. Hopefully it will go just as smoothly as this did.
A big thanks to Stu @UKPlasteringmachines and everyone else who has given us advice and encouragement to get the machine going.

Actually when I say there weren't any issues there was just one thing.
Part way through the spray I checked the pressure gauge and it was showing just over twenty. Now I know it should have been at fifteen but everything seemed to be going well and there wasn't exactly acres to do we cracked on. Was the pressure high because we were spraying the gear a bit to stiff?
Also would it be OK to have the tank and pump a fair distance from the Ritmo? At present we only have about a metre and a half of hose from the pump to the Ritmo and both the pump and water butt get a fair covering of dust and get in the way at times.

you can pump the water 25 mts away if you need to. I use the 10mt 1/2" pipe that came with the ritmo and a seperate 10 mt power cable to keep the butt away from the machine. Cant be doing with no holes in the butt either and use the suction pipe with shut off valve.

I have got the Av 1000 what size cable do I need to extend it? The cable from Ritmo to pump.

@PFTwales would I be able to keep the water butt outside but have the Ritmo on the first floor with the hose coming up through a window or would that be too great a head of water? We've got the AV3000 pump.
