I have just completed my first month of machine plastering and i gotta be honest it probably been the most stressed i`ve ever been in my life!! but this week has been fantastic as we been flying!!
we`ve been spraying k rends new k 1 and it finishes lovely.
Big thanks to stuart at pft top service.

sorry think i should of said stuart at uk plastering machines. anyway as i said really good service and very patient!!

It will get easier mate as you get used to the machine , we have all been there ,hang on in there ,you will not look back , best of luck with it :RpS_thumbup:

U prob got a d6 3 on or a 4.2 you could use a d4.3 to start off its a bit slower than the other 2 until u get the grips with the machine. Great pump is the monojet

Bob won't that be coz he was sick of hand balling gear like a mug that is designed to be sprayed anyway

Thanks fellas, Well i came on here for recommendations and just went with what people said really. didn`t wanna spend that much to start with but am doing about 800 bags a month at the mo so am feeling a lot fresher in the left shoulder as well!!
looking forward to using it now.

I have a monojet and find it a decent machine. Powerful G4 motor but light and not as wide, goes through doorways easy enough and being on 2 wheels easy to move around. Had all the early day hick ups and as I only use it a few times a year still forget things like which is the outlet on the water pump! But it performs well and we use a 4-3 as we find that is more than fast enough. Most of our work is 11mm so the 4-3 is better suited. Did a 15mm job the other day but in 2 passes as we was fully meshing so again the 4-3 was fast enough. It dismantle into 4 parts easy enough too if space in storage is an issue.

Keep it well serviced at PFT and it will last you years. Look at how well it is built. No plastic parts and solid steel. Makes it 190kg though. Mine is going into PFT Northern for its Bi-annual service although it hardly needs anything doing as we look after the filters ourselves. Hopefully going to get a 240v Ritmo as well as some jobs are not 3 phrase generator friendly. The Genny is 225kg and is not as easy to get where you can get the monojet. But will probably keep the Monojet for those big Victorian Gables 10m high or where pumping distance is an issue.

just got a good deal thats why i bought monojet bobby. got a few lads on so if work keeps picking up will prob look at getting a ritmo next year aswell.

trust me when you got that pipe in your hand up the scaff and the 6.3 is nipped up you notice the difference

theres 250 ltrs of air coming out of a 3phase machine compared to the 80 lts the ritmo pumps out. that makes it seem much faster.
i worked a ritmo on 1side and the boys used a g5 on the other side. 60 mts mono g5 was half hour quicker

What's the difference between the minijet and the monojet

It has a slightly smaller hopper.

A 4.4kw motor instead of the 5 found on the g4/5 not sure why coz I think its the only pump with that engine and there ain't any difference to be fair.

It has basic tube like bars for legs rather than fancy legs.

No water prime button. Better IMO half chamber is easy and fault proof.

Comp is 230 single phase of the caddy as is water pump. Besides that its basically the same thing.

Ours had been modified before we got it. Not sure what but it has bigger electrics and a reverse just in case.... Only ever used that the first job we did hahah.

I love it man its small enough to go anywhere easily but big and powerful enough to do bigger sites where u might need 30m of pipe on

Would anyone be interested in a monojet and genny I'm looking into a ritmo L will try fleabay if no one interested ? Don't know what I would be looking for it I'll consider offers

Someone is selling 4 Monojets on ebay at the moment. Bit pricy for the machine only price imo.

If I like the Ritmo my monojet might be for sale complete outfit if I think I can manage without it.

What do you use the PFT LK compressor for with a Ritmo if the Ritmo has a built in compressor?

He has had the re sprayed lol and says sold as seen in the pics where's the power caddy ? Or is he charging more for that

Think I'll just keep my machine for a year and just buy a 2nd hand ritmo run them both which ever gets main use I'll keep

the LK is used for spraying acrylic as you need big air pressure to atomize the texture enough the on board comp would be splurty and lumpy leaving a more bobble like finish.
