Hi,

Building a house at the moment and customer wants pure white Parex blanc du literal mono.

I have only sprayed G00 monorex in the past. I have heard this pure white stuff is **** to spray and keep clogging air line etc, needs different r and s etc etc.

Any stuff I need to know about spraying this stuff would be good to know or have they sorted any problems out with it.

Using d63 twister and a PFT monojet by the way.

Also does it go off quicker than normal monorex.

Cheers,

Ben

its funny gear and isnt the best to spray but goes through ok , you can use a D6-3 but a D4-2 may be a little easier for it, it shouldn clog your airlines perhaps you need to make sure the airline inside your spray gun is clear, it does go hard overnight so maybe an early spray and same day scrape may be better.

I have had BDL go hard and block the air pipe before just in the end.
if the curling doggy droppings from the gun when off are allowed to harden then the air pressure sometimes aint enough to push it out and you need to pipe bore tool it.

only ever had this with BDL, keep your gun out of you droppings bucket and facing down.

not same as monorex GF mate no the use more marble aggs instead of mineral aggs its slightly more expensive to buy, but looks cool as fk on the right job with the right windows to match colour wise such as steel grey frames

thanks for advice whats a d42 is that a clamped r and s and is faster or slower than a d63 twister. Why does that make a difference. Sorry new to machines and dont understand much about r and s's. There seems loads of them!

Cheers

what machine you got Ben ?

Best to use D42 with this render it will pick up much faster than G00 we tend to put retarder in the water butt you can get that from parex as well . As for blocking air line it's no problem .

got a monojet keith really like it. Got to say it puts a smile on your face when your used to hand batching and humfing wheel barrows about. Only used on about 8 jobs now as its mainly full builds I do and plastering/rendering as a side line. But hoping to do a load this year with it. All a bit of a learning curve with these modern renders only had used sand cement up till a year ago! Got to convince the **** kicker locals here that coloured render is the way forward!

Were using this cunty stuff at the moment.

Anyone used retarder with this to get an overnight.

Bloody weather is not good for Parex right now.
I know blanc goes faster but we were In before 7 today and got finished up by 7 tonight.

It can be awful gear this on its day and does go faster than monorex but I just don't know if to trust the retarder.

Last time I did an overnight on this was winter and it was like rock the next day. Needs sorting out really having that sort of product on the market does no body any favours.....

Anyway any shouts for the retarder ?

We use shed loads of BL10 and never have a problem. Doesn't need much water tho. Let it pick up before you Darby but have to watch it because it can turn on you and it starts dragging. We don't use retarder but we have used Axel 3000 to speed up the initial set on colder days to keep same day scrape at the moment with no issues.

why don't you use the everbuild gear with it,

we did one last week, with it in, the builder had painted micro on the substrate as well in his wisdom. got it on by 10.30, it had gone by 3

I want it to go overnight rather than same day.
I'm working round a building following a joiner doing the soffit and were up his are so we have to bead up in the mornings up to what he has finished the previous night so were not spraying til gone 7.

I could use the accelerator but I wanted and overnight really as it suits the job.

I don't mind a late one but with a 10 week old baby and a 2 yr old Iad need to get back and help
