Hi guys,

We have some new plastic skimming trowels in stock. We have had some local Plasterers testing them and have had some great feedback, we now want to get everyone using them :)

They have a flexible blade and the blades are also replaceable.

We are looking for some more people to test these, if you are interested in testing one please can you leave a comment below and a reason why we should pick you. We also need a review done on them :)

Ryan

Hi , I would be interested in trying these trowels out, I have been plastering since 87, I have always used marshalltown trowels to date but I would be interested in seeing if these trowels made my days work easier, I would definitely give a feed back.

Id love to test one .... why ?? because ive been a good boy all year and its what santa would want :D

ill give one a shot if you like ryan ive tried a couple of different plastic trowels out in the past and have now found one that i think is pukka and its not the refina ones if anyones interested, i started using plastic trowels when i messed my elbow up but still wanted to work and someone said try a plastic trowel out as they need less resistance thus alleviating the pressure on your elbow.
scince then ive always used one :RpS_thumbup:

sorry forgot this bit............also i would like to try and find a new one that i like because the one ive got now isnt made anymore so it gets protected to the max to stop anything untoward happening to it, and a few fellas i work with have tried my curent one and have asked me to get them one but as i said its not made anymore:-(

oh and if ryan offers to send you some overalls. make sure he sends you adult sizes. i think he got mine from toys r us

bet they would fit any one of us.............warrior and jj excluded of course

I would be interested in giving one a whirl, i use them almost every day.

What sizes are available?

Ryan do you have a link to a picture ? How are the blades changeable are they a sleeve that fits a midget trowel like the refina ones ? what sizes you got ?

Hi guys, no images yet. I have completely forgotten the size of it to be honest. At the moment there is just one available. The blades are screwed in and out. If there is a high call for a bigger size we will obviously get them made. I will let everyone know by 9.30 who we have picked. I will then need you to PM me your address so I can send them to you :)

I'm not trying to grab a freebie, i don't do enough since redundancy forced a change of job , however I'm looking at getting a new placcy trowel. I've had a couple so far. 1 was hard plastic and 1 was very soft.
The soft troweled up real nice but if you looked at it hard it nicked and it wore down pretty quick. The hard one was, if anything, too hard and cracked a few uses in. Quite a few of the lads found the same thing so it want just me being a clumsy fat git.
Just wondering if you can give us some specs... Sizes, construction, are they needy or cracky, expected price...etc..
Cheers.

Id happily buy one if the numbers are right.

ive had a soft plastic for about 3 years now which gets used everyday (that im skimming) and its kept immaculate bit of wet and dry in your pocket and look after it, they just need a bit of care and attention:RpS_thumbup:

I'll try one if there's any going? I doubt I'd buy one otherwise but if they're good it might be something I'd stick with since Tyzack have gone down the nick.

Yeah, easy enough to rub back but i found it wearing down quick.
It was one of those white oval ones with orange handle. Think they were off an auction site

I wouldnt mind giving one a go and seeing what there like used a refina one before and didnt get on with it, id give it an honest review and use it on a variety of backgrounds to form a detailed review.

I want some overalls!

ive tried that one 4x4 from flebay diddnt get on with it, tried a few others and it took me a while to find one i did like, ones i do not get on with include the refina ones though, i find there too rigid if they do get a nick in them it takes alot of work to sand them out the handle gets on my tits and i found they open the face of the skim, if you flatten in with them you get loads of air bubbles

i will read with interest the review from the lucky boy who get's it lol i don't use plaster enough to warrant one luckily enough !!

i think the guys from the dreamteam league would all be ideal candidates for this trial ryan ( oops except hollowman as we aint seen him for ages)as we are all astute tradesman...or just bung a few in our prize goodies bags.............:RpS_thumbsup:

i cant get them over my legs while wearing joggers underneath. my mates got the bigger size and hes got plenty of room. even ryan admitted he cant wear the size he sent me. although he said they fit his 6month old baby perfectly
