just seen that speedskim thingy ,, (feather edge wi summat on it ) don,t know about anyone else but i prefer to lay it in not 1 coat like he does on that video ,, and also i saw lad flatten it out straight away ,,and i think your just askin for trouble with TIGER STRIPE ,, or i am i owd fashioned brothers of the trowel:confused:
 
cheers Spunky f,reply ,, i think any spread worth his salt can put a decent size room on in 1 ,,by time ya scratch it all on weer ever ya first started would be on its way a bit so ya mite av to use a bit a pressure to flatten it out before layin it in ,, i think i could do it just as quick with me owd faithful trowel ,, perhaps i,m bein a bit unfair in that i,ve never seen or used 1 a these things , i,d like to know wot there made of
 
If I'm honest, i think it might have it's uses. Dont think it would allow you to put more on but it might give you 10 minutes more to eat your sandwiches.

I might be totally wrong here, but I see it working with big flat mf walls or ceilings. Just walking across the f.ckers, getting the lines out before the first wet, maybe closing in bonding?
 
i think it,ll end up same as them theer adjustable angle tools dan ( twitchers to you lot from tuther side a pennines ) ,, wot awaste a space in ya tool box they were:RpS_thumbup:
 
Some one on ere has just started using 1, and said he thought its kushty but left the skim open, and will let us no how he gets on with it this week?

I think its only good for 1 wet flatten in but as he said it left the skim open thats draggin then, you still gotta trowel the mother up, oh and lay it on. still r wait for the masters to tell this is what ive been missing. Could u handle an 8ft trowel:RpS_unsure:
 
with sounds of it Dave its just another tool ,, can,t see there bein much advantage to it ,, horses f, courses ,,, i,ve got an 18" trowel f, flattnin out,, decent edge ,, teks 5 mins ,, but like i sed afore ,, i,d like to try it out :)
 
thats me Bod , owd handboord (or as yung uns call em Hawks ,, next yull be tellin mi theres a thing that mixes quicker than a Ponch ),, owd trowel ,and body that every joint aches on a Monday morning :RpS_drool:
 
Thought it had always been a handboard.. thought a hawk was a bird of prey..:RpS_laugh:.

try setting the dam thing up! we all just stood around ours grunting at it for the first week
 
I've just watched it on you tube and i think that any man in the world could put more on than him with a handboard and trowel.
 
mine came today gonna try it tomorrow see if its any good.
and yorky bob i aint got a danny what your saying its like reading Chinese haha :RpS_lol:

evenin Broonster ,, this a few lads on ere that used them ,, i think there more f,younger lads ,, i can,t see much advantage in em ,, but still lke to try 1 out brother :RpS_unsure:
 
thats y i got one i thought 35 quid its worth trying it out just to see what its like , i was goin to wait for the review that i think beds is doin but its been a while and the suspense was killing me haha

good luck wiv it JR ,,i think if they made e decent DVD/FILM of it wiv a bit of talkiin on it and more in depth it,d fair a lot better and stop moanin owd gits like me knockin it :RpS_drool:
