Out of date finish

Not really .... You can sort if judge the water way you cant with the dates ? R u meaning to go out and buy it or if u had some lying around for a while ?
 
It can go both ways with old plaster. it can set as soon as your backs turned or sometimes it will hang around for hours. keep 1/2 a bag for patching but otherwise bin it.
 
depends george like others have said can go either way (normally quick) i have seen it set before it even got poured out of the bucket
 
it depoends what you want to use it for george,, can be handy for chases or patches where you wanna get in and out, but if i was u i would not use it for any thing bigger

i only used it because my local wicks had a pallet just gone out of date for £2 a bag
there isnt much difference between that and multi from what i remember
 
I like board finish does seem to have a slightly different consistency but tend to always get multi. Anything out of date I've seem has always set quick I wouldn't risk it on anything but patching. Dab is the same seems to set stupidly quick out of date but never seems as strong best off chucking it!
 
Not sure the time differences between board and multi. As said though I would bin it. Or use for small areas where time is not a factor
 
Some dumb ass give me some plaster out of date last year about 2011 it went off. Set before I could get it out the bucket. Told him to get his dumb ass down travis an get me another one

So you never check the dates on the bags then..........................:rolleyes).............I know who the dumbass is......................:RpS_wink:
 
Ok arti I'll check every bag from now on you smart ass. Its happened once in 10 years . I'm not gonna start worrying about it happening weekly. While I'm having a cup of tea looking at page 3 , your be scrutinising bags of multi . You crack on

Ok marra. Cos it takes sooooo long to check the date on the bag when you pick it up........:p
