No NVQ's were achieved on this job through Geason :RpS_thumbsup:

Nothing new this.
You only have to drive onto the nearest council estate and open your eyes to see this poor standard of work

Ive got a job on with a fair few metres of EWI, had loads of spreads contact me offering their "services" saying Oh yeah thin coat work....piece of p1ss....:RpS_unsure: lot of rough work everywhere I think

Got some nice pics to show, unfortunately, camera on phone died before I could get best ones, I'm sure you'll get the idea....am gonna get into this, 14000 pounds these ***** got for this, I would say 5 days work max and no more than 4 grand materials..

So, is restricting the amount she can open the Window not part of the energy saving measures :RpS_unsure:

That's correct , but it's been okayed! ! If my camera had not died then you would be really shocked! The best bit, are you ready ? Are you sitting down?

When they fixed the insulation on the fixings are to long, they are through the guys walls inside, even through his kitchen cupboards, on a brighter note he has plenty towel holders ...

It's the same cuts that are doing this area, jobs look good from a distance but up close, naa! ! The insulation looks like it already has Base coat on with mesh attached, then once fixed they just mud joints, then fit beads, render and roughcast..

Oh, and once it's roughcasted, they come back a few weeks later and fit the cills. . Company is called bca insulation..

oh my god!!

dont know whether to laugh or cry...lol

It's ok Danny, it's out in the stix so nobody will be any the wiser!!!!! F*****g idiots only just got electricity etc, etc..

On a serious note, that job was ok'd. By , wait for it, yes BCA INSULATION's very own ( whatever he calls his job).

Anyway, these c u n t s are creaming all this money off the government and nobody with a brain cell is verifying it. So in 10 years time when all these jobs are shot then who is going to rectify them cos these company's will be long gone!!!!!!! Honesty gets you nowhere!,

Nothing unusual for mass turnover ewi this.

I see the same all over England.
Poor rates, poor workmanship, hoards of men brought in to keep numbers up bit too many without experience or knowledge. Nobody cares that its rough either.
They would sooner have this sh1te done cheap than pay for a proper job. Baffles me.

Reminds me of the weber training I was on yesterday, I was told about chamfering boards down to allow for windows, so obviously that's how you do it I take it, lol.

there was a guy there who owned a company (no names) sat in a button up shirt who looked like he wouldn't know what a days work was if it slapped him around the face, you could tell a mile off he was there just for the certificate and was only interested in the money side of things, he even left 1 hour before course ended.

its amazing to see when decent money is available the type of people that jump on the bandwagon.

I think the funding should only go through the manufacturers.

Then its their responsibility to monitor who install and and what level. As its their system their reputation out there. Standards in theory should rise?

I agree buddy, I was speaking to Jub yesterday about this pas2030 and it does seem a fair bit of fooking about, they seem to have a good set up regarding installations. So I think I'm going to start pushing their gear.

cheers for your help Dan on previous threads, top man, appreciate the advice

Yeah it is a **** about. I didnt bother getting my pas fir that reason. Alot of time and money for a tempormental industry.

Who you speak to up there.

Yeah jub have a good set up. Im quite lucky to be involved in some of it really

Craig Shepard, seem good guys there going to get me some samples sent over.

going to try and get some training with them just so I can get a feel for the gear, Iv got some bags of the basecoats/adhesive in van but haven't had time to play about with it yet, iv got 8 bays set up in my double garage where I have a fook about with stuff I haven't used before.

as much as I enjoyed the weber EWI training, they had no samples for me to take which was pretty poor, and they were only interested in pushing their own overpriced gear.

theres a stockist in Bradford who I have visited and hopefully I'll be in a position to take work to them and to JUB, so yeah, really appreciate the help from you guys.

Thats the right and the only way to keep up to the standards and and everyone involved in this to take responsibility on every level. This is how it works on site, why not and with the government jobs? On the other hand , there will be a lot of repairs to do in a few years time and it will cost money, big money! The circle hasn't closed yet.
