Hi, I've been rendering some garden walls, 4/1 mix adding Sika #1 .

But after doing all the scratch coats and now moved onto the final coat I've realised I hadn't been shaking the Sika, foolish mistake I know. Anyway the waterproofer added to the scratch coat was watery, now shaken it's gooey.

What would be your advice on what to do now? Shall I buy cement waterproofer and apply? or will waterproof paint work?

Thanks,

Does it need to be water proof ? Just make sure its all wet down before u top it just in case , u will soon find out if its worked or not if the water absorbs in

Yeah, when I've been watering it prior to doing some of the top coat the water just absorbs into it. Will good quality waterproof paint fully protect it though? I was always planning to paint it anyway.
